Gonda-Bastian’s early theatre experience at American
and German High Schools, Ludwig-Maximilian-University
in Munich, Germany and
Barking Gecko Theatre Company in Perth, Australia set the
stage for his current success in directing industry films and
commercials.
At the beginning of the new millennium he
directed his renowned short film "Awakening" as
his final film at the New York
Film Academy. Shot on 16 mm without sync-sound, the film opened at Universal Studios in Los Angeles and took its first international bows at various European festivals, such as Festival de Ciné, Huesca, Spain or Filmfest
Augsburg, Germany, just to name a few.

Most of Gonda’s commercials and industry films have been produced by Munich based Spectral New Media Production.
One of their first joint projects - the commercial “blue” for Pinnacle Systems Inc. - led to a successful launch of “Liquid Blue” at the trade fair “IBC” in Amsterdam. Gondas latest collaboration with Spectral was a 10-minute industry film for Lear Europe - a top supplier of the automotive industry.
